An Ancient Doorway





Today's pictures are from Dore Abbey in the small Herefordshire village of Abbey Dore.  I was drawn to visit the place because we share a name.  I wasn't disappointed.

 I like the old masonry and the arches and I like the old door which appears only to open from the inside...

    Very nice, I had heard of the place and planned to visit but have never had the opportunity. Great atmosphere in the images.

      Thanks, glad you like them. I took Simon to visit last year too, there's not much there but it's still worth a visit, plus the area around it is beautiful
