A couple of pictures today taken from my Bodnant trip in June. I really like the deep red in the first picture and the dusting of yellow pollen on the petals. I also like the way the petals seem to stretch forward, inviting insects towards the stamen in the centre.
In the second picture I like the way the flower hangs down and opens up a bit like a lantern.
