Tales of the Riverbank

Many years ago I used to watch a program on TV called Tales of the Riverbank, the stars of the show being Hammy the hamster, Roderick Rat and GP the Guinea Pig and each episode told some story of the "adventures" of these three animal friends, narrated by Johnny Morris an icon of 1960's and '70's children's TV.

For some reason bull rushes as in the pictures above always make me think of that program and they also make nice subjects for a photo.

A few more shots of Canals and Bridges in Amsterdam.  Although I am going back to Amsterdam in about 10 days and inevitably I will be posting more pictures of the city in the coming months, in the excitement of my preparations for the trip I couldn't resist sharing these.
