Heart of Stone

As always I am looking out for hearts in nature and this warm coloured pebble on the beach at Milford on Sea caught my eye. The sea spray in the air was a real nuisance in that I had to continually clean my lens but it added a freshness and shine to the pebbles.

Fairy Lights

Well not really fairy lights but it's natures equivalent...

Walking yesterday morning  the bushes, which are just beginning to show early signs of spring, shimmered and glowed with raindrops as they caught the early morning sun, adding a magical quality to my woodland walk. This is just one of the reasons I had such a lovely time in the woods.

Refraction

Following on from yesterday's image I have chosen two pictures taken in Delamere Forest one snowy morning in January 2013.  Although it was really cold there was a slight thaw and there was water dripping from the trees.  These two images of a water droplet were taken handheld using my 100mm macro lens.

I really like these photos. What caught my eye at first was the sunlight glinting through the droplet and then moving to a different angle the trees in the distance appeared.
