So here are three more shots of Liverpool's Open Eye Gallery with its shiny black glass exterior with acute angles everywhere you look. It looks like it would be at home in a Sci-Fi movie.
The first shot is taken from the opposite corner to the other two and so where one has the sun behind it the sun was behind me for the other two. I like the way the clouds are reflected in the sides of the building. Standing watching the reflections it felt at times like the clouds were passing through the building like fog, it was an amazing illusion. In the third shot I can see a heart formed by the clouds combined with the reflection so I really like that.
The final shot is of an apartment block built as part of the Liverpool One development. I often think that if I was in the market for an apartment I would be happy to live here. Although I cannot say what the interior is like I do like the building as a whole and the design allows every apartment to get great views of the city or across the riverfront.
Today I was asked what the highlight of my roadtrip was and my first thought was the Lego House in Billund, Denmark. To be fair there were lots of highlights and I don't really want to pick a favourite but there was something really unusual and unexpected about the Lego House that was totally captivating.
Billund is the home of Lego, and it was a bucket list item for my son to visit since he is and always has been a massive fan of Lego. As we drove into the town we were greeted by the sight of a beautiful white building with lots of clean angles and perfectly straight lines that genuinely took our breath away.
We parked up in a space with an hour limit and went off to look over the building and get a few photos but it was such an amazing building that as we explored I realised that 1 hour would not be enough and so I moved the car and parked up for 2 more hours and went back to play. Yes, that's right. The building as well as housing a big exhibition of Lego structures inside is also a massive playground on the outside with hidden levels and activity zones.
I will share some pictures of the overall structure some other time but for today I have selected a few images showing different perspectives of the stairs and giant seating on opposite sides of the building. It is really bold and beautiful, just wait til you see the full building.
Today I am doing something different to my usual landscape and wildlife shots so I hope you will bear with me. I have actually been wanting to share these images for a little while and now I am free to do so.
I recently did a photo shoot for a local firm of architects at the completion of part of one project. It was the first of such projects that I have done but I got some great shots of what is a magnificent house. Some of my pictures will soon be posted on the company website so you can always have a look at SDA Architecture & Surveying to see them and some of the other cool projects they are working on. They were great guys to work with and I am looking forward to working on some more projects with them in future.
So for today's selection I have chosen one external view. I love the gables and the timber cladding and I love the large balcony overlooking the extensive gardens.
The second image is of the main room on the second floor and I love the different angles in the ceiling.
The next shot is of the en suite bathroom also on the second floor which captilises on the angles of the roof beams . I like the lines in this shot which is taken from a very low angle drawing the viewer into the picture.
The final image is of the dining room which is so light and airy with the massive windows looking out onto the gardens.

I was trying to think of a catchy title for today's post but the ones I came up with didn't really fit so I have just called it what it is. This is one side of the ferry terminal at Seacombe on the Wirral side of the Mersey. It is also home of the Spaceport museum.
I really like this structure with its futuristic design. Would it surprise you to know that this actually overlooks the carpark.
